Letter from our Alumni president

Dear Alumni,

Wherever you are, I hope that you and all your loved ones are staying safe, and where possible, staying at home.

École Jeannine Manuel temporarily closed its physical doors in Paris, Lille and London on March 16, but our school has remained open for learning. Students, teachers, and staff are all exploring new ways of learning, teaching, and working using the different online tools at their disposal.

We are grateful in times of crisis for community, especially such a united one as the Jeannine Manuel Alumni community. This outbreak will have long-lasting consequences on the whole of society, including the economy. Solidarity between all of our alumni, young and older, will be key. The alumni of tomorrow will need our help to make their first steps in this changed world. We will be proud to be there for them as a supportive community.

Supporting our alumni businesses is one of the ways we can help. Some of them, like Frichti (Julia Bijaoui '06), are leading the way in initiatives that help support the healthcare workers that risk their lives to save ours.

Maintaining a network where people can support and help one another is at the core of Jeannine Manuel Alumni’s mission. More than ever, we encourage you to reach out to your fellow alumni on EJM Avenir, to be generous with your advice if someone asks for it, and most importantly, to stay connected. Many of our alumni are using this as an opportunity to organize online class reunions through Skype, Zoom, and other platforms. If you would like some advice on how to set up such a reunion, please feel free to reach out to us.

All of the members of the Jeannine Manuel Alumni board join me in wishing you and your loved ones all the best at this complicated time.

Sincerely,
Nicolas Manuel
President

École Jeannine Manuel & Frichti: a joint initiative

École Jeannine Manuel has launched a program in partnership with Frichti to provide medical personnel with free and delicious meals. Co-founded by one of our alumni, Julia Bijaoui from the Class of 2006, Frichti is a young food business that specializes in preparing and delivering meals cooked with fresh and local produce. Frichti will match every donation (and double every meal) that we give to their Frichti For Saviors program. Thank you, Julia!
